Setting up Wifi on Fanvil XU Phones

Most Fanvil Devices support wireless Internet access and require the use of a USB wi-fi adapter. Therefore, the device needs to have a USB Portal Please refer to the hardware description below for the supported models.

MAKE SURE BEFORE PROCEEDING THAT THE WIFI ADAPTER IS PLUGGED INTO THE USB PORT ON THE PHONE

1) When the device is in the default standby mode, press the "Menu" soft button 

2) Move the selection to the basic option and choose it.

3) Go through the list on the next screen until you see [WLAN] to enter the setting interface.
4) if it shows disabled, click the right arrow key and the "Ok" soft button.

5) Press the soft button for "Scan" and select the wireless network and use the left and right keys to activate it. Enable the device to search the current wireless network automatically.
6) Select the available network, enter the user name and password to connect successfully. Once completed you will see an Icon showing it's connected in the top righthand corner on the main page like in the first photo above.


NOTE: The phone may reboot a few times to download the configuration from 3CX, and or newer firmware. Once completed you should see the expected extension or hot desk.
Further configuration may need to be completed if this phone is using an SBC, please contact your administrator if this is the case.
